Themes of My Creativity
My paintings reflect the harmony between the external and internal worlds. What secrets does beauty hold? Why has humanity, throughout the ages, sought to surround itself with beautiful things? What purpose did the Creator embed in the perfect forms of nature? Why is it that an artist, having approached the mystery of the formula of beauty, can transfer harmony into their work but often struggles to find it within their own soul—falling prey to depression and losing their mind under the weight of emotions and anxieties? How can one gain feedback from a painting and hear the voice of the beautiful yet silent teacher—nature?
Answers to these questions arise during moments of contemplation when I feel like an inseparable part of the surrounding world. This is why a significant part of my work is dedicated to the picturesque landscapes of Greece in my series of plein air paintings titled "With an Easel Through Greece."Here, the bright light of the Greek sun reveals the palette of nature in its primal strength, while starry nights, accompanied by the music of the waves, immerse us in a mysterious world that can only be touched through sensations and feelings. This magical process is reflected in the series of paintings titled "The Assembly of Emotions." It is no coincidence that my works, dedicated to inner worlds, differ in style from classical landscape painting.
Inner worlds are the story of our feelings and thoughts that people experience from century to century, in different bodies and eras. Love and hatred, joy and sorrow, euphoria and anxiety, enchantment and disappointment—all these emotions are like invisible, living threads that weave the fabric of my paintings. Transformations and reflections on our emotions create that unique inner world in which our spiritual path is formed.
